Musical Opportunities

Chancel Choir is an adult choir that meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. It consists of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. This choir provides music for the 10:30 worship service each week. It meets from early September through the mid-June, then takes a break during the summer, when special music is scheduled for our worship services. This group is directed by Marie Bunting.

 

Chancel Bell choir is an adult choir that meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 6:15 p.m. for one hour. We currently have 14 ringers with room for 2 more ringers. It meets from early September through mid-June, ending the season with a concert (often with two other churches participating).  The group presents a concert on Christmas Eve each year, and many of the group members attend the Bell Choir Festival in Ocean City each year. They also provide music for the 10:30 worship service once a month. This group is directed by Marie Bunting.

 

Wesley Choir consists of singers from grades 2 through 12. They meet weekly on Mondays at 6 p.m. from early September through mid-May and provide music for the church worship service once a month.  This choir is directed by Louise Hill.

 

Wesley Bell Choir consists of ringers from grades 2 through 12. They meet weekly on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. from early September through mid-May and provide music for the church worship service once a month. This choir is directed by Sharon Skinner.

 

A Wing and A Prayer is the affectionate name given by the members who do not have adequate time to practice so they perform on "A wing and a prayer."  At this time, it consists of a piano (Marie Bunting), an accordion (Sharon Skinner), a French horn (Pastor Ken) and a saxophone (Ken Webb). There is always room for another musician!  They provide the accompaniment music for the 9 a.m. service each Sunday morning.
